A great thing about journaling is that it’s a chance to write down for your eyes to see what is on your mind. Whether you are writing about what you ate that day or getting over a bad relationship, journaling is a form of therapy for writers. For a writer there are often times where we find ourselves losing inspiration, here are 10 quotes to get you back to journaling:

1. I am a writer, writer of fictions. I’ve written pages upon pages trying to rid you from my bones.-The Decembrists

2. There’s nothing to writing. All you do is sit down at a typewriter and open a vein.-Walter Wellesley ‘Red’ Smith

3. Write drunk; edit sober. –Ernest Hemingway

4. Inspiration exists, but it has to find you working- Pablo Picasso

5. Art should comfort the disturbed and disturb the comfortable- Cesar Cruz

6. A writer never has a vacation. For a writer life consists of either writing or thinking about writing.- Eugene Ionesco

7. I write better than I talk- Anonymous

8. All you have to do is write one true sentence. Write the truest sentence that you know. –Ernest Hemingway

9. Don’t think about making art, just get it done. Let everyone else decide if it’s good or bad, whether they love it or hate it. While they are deciding, make even more art. –Andy Warhol

10. The creative adult is the child who survived.- Ursula K. LeGuin
Take it from the greats from our past and present to help inspire you to write your next piece. It doesn’t matter if it’s insignificant to you, it could mean more to someone else. Just write.
