Here's How to Write a Journal:
Start with a Ten Minute Missive!

First, choose a space of your own. This is YOUR time.
Turn off all technological distractions (computers, phones, etc.) and internal distractions like Inner Critics (See "Managing MIC (My Inner Critic)" ). Add music, light candles or do whatever you want to make this place your own. Get a pen and a writing pad or notebook. At the top of the page write:

why do I
THEN Write for 10 minutes keeping your pen on the page. Whatever comes up, comes up. If you are enjoying this free writing experience, keep going and going and going.

When you feel finished…

Read your writing. Or not. It’s your choice.
Notice how you feel physically, emotionally, mentally and spiritually. Take some deep breaths, get a drink or continue writing…whatever you feel like doing. Intrigued? Surprised? Scared? All of the Above? None of the above? Sample Ten-Minute Missive
