Stuck with your writing? A tarot deck is a lovely tool for spurring creative insights and invoking deep reflection. If you have a tarot deck handy, shuffle the deck until you feel a sense of calm. Fan the deck out and pull one card. Meditate on the image. What does the picture say to you? What actions does the figure(s) seem to be taking? What mood does the image convey? What draws you in (a color, a particular object in the picture, the words)? As you contemplate the question, write freely without stopping to edit. Let your subconscious help you to find the words.
