Journalers are like our country's first settlers---adventurers, pioneers, pathfinders, trailblazers, explorers: We face our fears, learn to follow our guts, find and use skills and talents we never dreamed we had and discover the natural beauty of a new and exciting world---our true selves. Our pen and journal are our own Lewis & Clark who lead us out of the wilderness, help us clear away the brush, deal with the elements and wild animals and find the food and water we need to live not merely survive.
