* HOW CAN I KEEP FROM SINGING? *

April is the coolest month because my tribute album, 'The BARRY Thought of You-Mari Sings Manilow' is now available for your infinite listening pleasure. This week, I'll be sending it to CD Baby who will not only sell the hard copy but digitally distribute it to ITunes, Rhapsody, Napster....

Special thanks to Multiple Sclerosis (MS) for spiriting away my right hand and matching  me up with my Journal where I've awakened my left hand and reclaimed Me and My Life and My Music.

Right now, I resonate with a line from my and Mary Dawson's favorite Manilow melody, 'All the Time' -- "All the time, waiting for a sign, to think I had it all, all the time."  (#10 on the album's playlist.)

* TRY THIS AT HOME *

1. Get the lyrics of your favorite song and copy them into your journal. Write about the experience.

2. Take the title of a song and use that as an opening for a journal entry. How about "Don't Worry be Happy" or "Wild Thing" or "Un-Break my Heart"?

3. Whenever a song sings out from your brain CD player, just journal about how that tune makes you feel.

How do I thank someone who has taken me from crayons to perfume? It isn't easy but I'll try.

* The Rest of the Story *

In October, 2004 I achieved my goal of meeting my heart and soul's inspiration Barry Manilow.

I read him my poem 'Since Forever", was thanked with THE HUG and told him that the next time we met I would present him with the song 'Since Forever' which is #12 on the album.  With the release of "The Barry Thought of You" and lots of discussions with the universe, my goalgetting of gifting my song to him is in process.
So hear it is Mr. Manilow... this one's for you!
