 Journaling Tips #65

***Take a child's lullaby (like this one, maybe?), write your own lyrics to it and sing it to your Inner Kid. Journal about the experience....***

With our routine, consistent, preferably daily Journaling for the Health of It ™ healing writing practice, we discover our Inner Kid and learn how we can improve  his/her health and happiness with our grown up wit and wisdom. We can’t change the past but we can heal the mental, emotional and physical woundings that have been holding us back.

Here’s another lullaby with lots of lyrical rewriting opportunities. Maybe you’ll finally be able to sing yourself to a decent night’s sleep for a change?  Rock ON!

Rock-a-Bye-Baby

Rock-a-bye, baby
In the treetop
When the wind blows
The cradle will rock
When the bough breaks
The cradle will fall
And down will come baby
Cradle and all

Baby is drowsing
Cosy and fair
Mother sits near
In her rocking chair
Forward and back
The cradle she swings
And though baby sleeps
He hears what she sings

From the high rooftops
Down to the sea
No one's as dear
As baby to me
Wee little fingers
Eyes wide and bright
Now sound asleep
Until morning light
