"Writing for the Health of It"

Expressing ourselves on paper is a free, creative way to release feelings that we hide, suppress or don't even know we have. We look inward in private and come up with fresh insights to solve problems, reduce stress and become more self-accepting.

By drawing on our writing reserves (Yes, we all possess these free assets), we identify and remove those fearful, faulty messages we've been carrying around inside our bodies since forever. Writing helps us to discover who we really are and figure out what we want. It helps us understand ourselves and recognize those habits that need to be changed to be healthier, happier and more successful.

Create Write Now's "Writing for the Health of It" therapeutic writing process shows you how to give to yourself first and realize that by giving to yourself, you have more to give to your family, friends and community.

Here's how you start "Writing for the Health of it":

Step 1 - Ten Minute Missive

First, find a space of your own. This is your time - to and for yourself. Close the door and turn off all technological distractions (computers, phones, pagers, radios, TVs, etc.) Leave all Inner Critics outside. This is a writing, not a thinking exercise. Get a pen and a writing pad or notebook. At the top of the page write:

WHAT I WANT IS...

Write. For 10 minutes. Write. Whatever. Just write. Keep your pen on the paper. Permit whatever comes up to come up. And keep going.

Step 2 - Contact Me

Read what you wrote. Intrigued? Surprised? Disgusted? Frustrated? All of the Above? None of the Above?

Enter your name, email address and your reactions, comments and/or questions below. I'll contact you to discuss our next step. Your information will be held in the strictest confidence.
